About us

Taking care of all your well drilling needs for nearly 50 years

Allen’s Well Drilling, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned and operated business, headquartered in Altoona, has been serving Central Florida and its surrounding communities—including Lake County—for nearly 50 years.

The company was founded by Allen Hardwicke and his wife Chloe in 1975, following 10 years of experience Allen garnered working as a water well contractor for his stepfather Carl Stiles.

In 1989, Allen’s son Reggie Hardwicke came on board, working after school as a pump service technician, and the rest is history.

Today, Reggie and his wife Stacy (with the company since 1993), proudly own and operate Allen’s Well Drilling. Following in their footsteps, is their son Wyatt Hardwicke, the Company’s general manager and residential water treatment and service technician.

Together, they are committed to keeping the family’s trusted legacy alive by providing customers with the service, experience, knowledge, and quality work they’ve come to expect from Allen’s Well Drilling, Inc. since day one.

The Hardwicke family also takes pride in community involvement and ensuring the use of the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art equipment available for every job, whether residential, commercial, or agricultural.

Reggie Hardwicke

President

Reggie, a third generation licensed State of Florida Water Well Contractor since 1999, has been involved in the business for as long as he can remember. His duties include everything from helping in the office on the business end of the company, to actually working in the field drilling, and working on commercial and municipality-based projects. Additionally, Reggie handles pump repairs, and large agricultural projects for local blueberry and citrus farms. In his free time, Reggie enjoys most outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, exploring, and traveling.

Stacy Hardwicke

CFO

Stacy has been part of the Allen’s Well Drilling team since 1992; managing the office, scheduling, billing, estimating, and more. Stacy received a small business certification from Valencia College in 2005 and is currently serving her second term on the Board of Directors for the Florida Ground Water Association (FGWA). Additionally, Stacy works closely with Lake County officials, the Florida Department of Health, and local realtors on well issues and inspections and is a proponent for people hiring licensed contractors for well installations, repairs, and other services. In her free time, Stacy enjoys fishing, spending time with family and with her two boxers: Butters and Coal.

Wyatt Hardwicke

General Manager

Wyatt graduated from Umatilla High School in 2016, but even before that, worked alongside his father and grandfather for more than 10 years learning all there is to know about the family business. Wyatt attended Lake Technical College, where he received a certification in auto collision and in 2019, garnered a certification in water filtration from Water Right Technologies. Wyatt, currently pursuing his water well drilling license, oversees day-to-day activities/projects, scheduling, residential pump servicing, water treatment, and more. In his free time, Wyatt enjoys spending time with his 2-year-old son Waylon, fishing, hunting, and air boating.
